A pair of Kent State football standouts who are now making a big name for themselves in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns will return to Kent next week.
Both Joshua Cribbs and Abe Elam will visit the Water Street Tavern on Oct. 8 to be recognized as special guests for the Inside Kent State Sports radio show, which is hosted by Tom Linder, the voice of the Golden Flashes.
The radio show is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and last until 8 p.m. and will be broadcatsted on Fox Sports Radio 1350 AM.
The broadcast will feature a Homecoming game preview, which will have the Golden Flashes playing host to Bowling Green on Oct. 10 at Dix Stadium in Kent. Also included on the extended two-hour broadcast will be a preview for Kent State’s 2009-10 men’s and women’s basketball teams.
Cribbs and Elam will be available following the radio broadcast to meet and greet fans, with Kent State head football coach Doug Martin, the team’s football cheerleaders and mascot Flash also in attendance.
The event doors will open at 4 p.m., but is listed as 21-and-over unless minors are accompanied by an adult.
